this work explores the ecological image, shown as chemically treated cyanotypes presented as a photomedia series which attempts to illuminate the environmental impact of the human animal on our shared ecosystem
this series reflects on various theoretical concepts alternative forms of image capturing, machine vision, surveillance, digital mapping, virtuality, and post-photographic practices

original images were found through Google Street View, after researching the most polluted water systems in the world and creating these virtual scans as cyanotypes which are a process of light, chemicals, and water


an aim is to create a comparison between traditionally historical analogue print making techniques, digital photography, and post-photographic processing
